With the divine blessings and gracious presence of Paramapoojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, Hon’ble Chancellor, Adichunchanagiri University, the Adichunchanagiri School of Natural Sciences (ASNS), in association with the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Molecular Medicine (AIMM) , successfully hosted its First One-Day International Conference titled ” Science and Technology for a Sustainable Tomorrow: Innovation and Pioneering Breakthroughs ,” on 30th May 2025 at Lecture Hall-1, AIMS Campus, ACU.
This occasion was graced by Honorable Vice Chancellor, respected Registrar, Dean of research, Director AIMM, Dean of academics and Accreditation, Deans of the faculties, Principals of Constituent colleges of ACU. And the function was participated by over 300 students, research scholars, delegates from various colleges/ Universities/ Institutions.
The conference served as a dynamic platform to bridge fundamental sciences with emerging technologies for sustainable development.
Distinguished Speakers:
• Prof. Kenji Monde, Hokkaido University, Japan – introduced next-gen SWIR imaging probes for precision cancer diagnostics.
• Prof. Hiroshi Hinou, Hokkaido University, Japan – presented glycotyping via MALDI-TOF-MS, offering new tools for clinical diagnostics.
• Prof. Takayuki Tsukui, Sapporo University of Health Sciences – shared insights on miso-like fermentation of corn for enhanced nutritional bioactivity.
Conference Objectives:
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration among academia, industry, and healthcare
• Showcase innovations addressing global and local sustainability challenges
• Promote integration of AI, IoT, Data Science in life and environmental sciences
• Encourage translational research and capacity building
• Inspire youth and early-career researchers toward impactful solutions.
Over 40 plus research scholars and students presented their research work as posters
Out of which 5 best posters were awarded.
Key Outcomes:
• Strengthened dialogue between global researchers and Indian academia
• Initiated avenues for International collaborations in healthcare, food science, and bioengineering
• Emphasized translational research and technology-driven interventions
