Dr. C.K. Subbaraya is a distinguished Mathematician, a Renowned Scholar and Researcher and leader in higher education. With a strong foundation in applied mathematics, computational methods, and computer science, Dr. Subbaraya has made significant contributions to both research and academic administration. His expertise extends beyond the classroom. He has published remarkable 20 research papers in esteemed national and international journals and conference proceedings. His dedication to research is further evidenced by his participation in numerous national and international conferences and seminars. He has also served on the editorial boards of prestigious national and international journals, demonstrating his deep understanding and commitment to the field.
Dr. Subbaraya's leadership has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of technical education in India. For nearly two decades, he served as the Principal of the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology (AIT), Chikmagalur. Under his visionary guidance, AIT flourished, earning recognition as a premier institution in Karnataka. Dr. Subbaraya's dedication was instrumental in securing prestigious accreditations like NBA (twice), Institution of Engineers India, ISO 9001-2008 Certification, and NAAC Accreditation, solidifying AIT's position as a center of excellence.
Dr. Subbaraya's remarkable contributions have been acknowledged through numerous prestigious awards. He has been awarded as the “Best Engineering College Principal” at National level by ‘Bharatheeya Vidya Bhavan’. He has been recognized by IEAE, Departments of MNRE and MSME, AICTE, AIU, CMAI, and VTU for his outstanding leadership in institutional development.
His dedication extends beyond the realm of academia. He has held prestigious positions such as National Executive Council Member of ISTE (5times), Academic Senate Member of VTU (twice), Executive Council Member of VTU (twice). He has also served as ‘Court member’ of Prestigious Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Chairman of ISTE's Karnataka State Unit (twice). At Present he is appointed as Ombudsperson of VTU, Belagavi. He has also served on the governing councils of several esteemed institutions and actively participated in community service through organizations like the Rotary Club and Lions Club. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in establishing academic collaborations with international institutions like Griffith University, Australia. Also he has visited more than 20 countries and delivered invited talks in Conferences & Seminars. In recognition of his exceptional service, Dr. Subbaraya was appointed as the Registrar of Adichunchanagiri University. He continues to serve as the Director of both AIT and the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Business Management.
